Maria King: Executive Director: Maria King – Consultant/account management for Woodlands Consulting Group.  Maria is a seasoned marketing executive who brings over 15 years experience in marketing and communications. This includes start-up ventures with a non-profit down payment assistance company to Fortune 500 companies, such as Delta Air Lines and The Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, GA.  Her most recent employment is with The Toledo Zoo as a Group Sales Assistant Manager.  She has extensive background and skills in advertising, strategic marketing, Public Relations, sales and business development, sponsorships, promotions and brand management.  Maria has help launch a variety of products such as Delta’s Intercontinental service, BusinessElite™, as well as new service in new markets globally.  Maria negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with sports and entertainment entities such as MLB, the NFL, Guggenheim in NYC, Universal Studios and a host of others.  Related experience:  As owner of a non-profit down payment assistance company Building Great Neighbors from 2002 - 2005, Maria was responsible for the development of the web site, direct mail, PR, negotiating partnership contracts with real estate and mortgage companies and participating in home buying seminars.  In April 2007, she consulted on a project which provided a brand roadmap and recommended brand personality based on the core values and strategic abstract research provided.  We then recommended key tag lines for advertising testing; key messages and brand icons for print (ads/brochures/electronic-newsletters), radio and direct mail. Maria is a Graduate of the University of Cincinnati in Communications. Maria makes a valuable contribution to Woodlands, as well as offering tremendous guidance, incite and confidence as we work with customers.
